    According to a story on EurActiv.com, Su Wei, China's top climate negotiator stated in a meeting with EU Climate Action Commissioner Connie Hedegaard in Brussels yesterday that the EU should take measures to force developed countries that have yet to ratify the Kyoto Protocol to make equal emission cuts.

    Countries responsible for more than four fifths of global emissions of greenhouse gases have now backed the accord that emerged from last year's climate change summit in Copenhagen, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said yesterday, calling this a critical step forward towards the next major gathering on the subject.
