About Us

The Institute for Climate and Energy Security (i4cense) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) building capacity and enabling effective initiatives for climate and energy security in the Mediterranean.

Guided by broad scientific consensus about the impacts of climate change, as well as the opportunities arising from transitions to low carbon economies, we bring governments and decision makers, NGOs, business leaders and academics into effective dialogue and act as a catalyst of the development of common policies and programmes. The primary geographic focus of our activity is in South East Europe and the Mediterranean.
